Health Tips about controlling weight

A friendly reminder for those of you who are overweight. It is so easy to fall into the lifestyle of being overweight if you like to eat...I mean really enjoy the food. I decided to start looking at food in a different way when my doctor told me that I was "pre-diabetic". Diabetes scared the hell out of me. I have never had that problem before and I absolutely did not want to start. Please, if you (or your children) are overweight, think of what that means - the damage you are doing to your system is incredible. Believe me it is easier to lose weight when you finally and fully realize that your life is really on the line.

If you don't believe in the dangers you face by being overweight read what the United States CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) says about obesity.

Easy diet (if you have any trace of will power) - just stop eating second helpings. It is amazing how well you can control your diet when you stop eating so much food. Cheaper too!

Another tip: Eat slowly. Put your fork down between bites....give your brain time enough to let you know that you are full. Take the front-end loader out of the dining room.

Please don't believe the crap you hear on TV.... "It's so e-a-s-y" to lose weight with this or that while you are still stuffing your face.....NOT!!!!
